New distribution center boosts Southeast supply chain and logistics capacity while creating 38 jobs
Facility strengthens Southeast supply chain and expands regional logistics capacity.
R.E. Michel Company, a leading wholesale distributor of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, propane and industrial supplies, began operations on March 9 at its new 600,000-square-foot distribution center in Clinton, South Carolina. The facility is expected to create 38 new jobs and significantly enhance the company’s service capabilities throughout the Southeast.
The new distribution center represents a major investment in Laurens County and reinforces R.E. Michel’s long-term commitment to serving contractors with greater speed, efficiency and inventory availability.

Located at 1702 Springdale Drive, the 600,000-square-foot facility will serve as a key logistics hub for the R.E Michel Company and will initially serve 106 company-owned locations throughout the Southeast.
By utilizing a high level of automation, the facility will improve product availability, delivery timelines, and overall customer service across Southeastern markets. The operation will support a range of distribution functions including warehousing, inventory management and regional shipping.
